Pistols come in many shapes and sizes. So why don't we offer different Pistol Skins to accommodate them all? The truth is, our single Pistol Skin kit will fit most semi-automatic or revolver type pistols. The reason for this is because the kit is generic and requires the user to trim to fit their specific model. This also includes airsoft replicas, and BB guns. The kit comes with the following precut pieces:
- Two 4.75"" x 8” frame pieces
- One 3.75” x 8” slide piece
- Two 1” x 3.25” pieces of additional material
Regardless of your firearm, it will require the use of a sharp hobby knife to trim away the material to obtain the exact fit for your model. Use the edge of the gun as a guide and trim away from the body. When creating the seam for any overlap, we suggest trimming in a meandering "S" shape cut to create the best blend. Please watch the following installation video to see this process in action. There is also a kit template available to download so you can see for yourself what the pieces will look like.
If your gun is longer than 8", we may recommend purchasing additional material, such as a Scope Skin, to accommodate for the extra surface area. For revolvers, use the slide piece to wrap the cylinder.
